Happy Easter

What a day we have had!  It's hard to believe it isn't over yet.  I'm wiped out. We started out early. 0630 early. We were out the door by 0730 for church.  We decided to go to the 0800 service this year since it was PACKED last year at our regular time and we couldn't even get into the sanctuary. I'm so glad we did. While the church was full, it wasn't overflowing. We enjoyed beautiful music and a truly great service.  Brian did end up missing most of it though since about 15 mins into it, we got the "buzz" from the nursery. Henry was not happy.  I have only taken him to the nursery one other time, and we got the buzz then too.  Separation anxiety has set in. Just tells me I need to leave him more often with someone else. Any takers? Ha. (Don't get me wrong. Sounds like I don't want to be away from him or leave him with someone. Not the case!  But without a jobby job for the last two years, our budget hasn't allowed for such luxuries as babysitters very often).  Anyway, I was not alone for the service. Aubrey came to the "big church" today.  I told her she could this morning since I didn't think they would have childcare for her age at that service. So once we got there and realized they did have care for her, she would have none of it.  She was AMAZING during the service.  Who is that child?  So sweet and kind in public. She even stood for the music and held her own hymnal. Precious.  We were home by 0920 and had Henry down for a nap right away. Then (dread) I cleaned our bedroom while he napped and Aubrey threw a 45 min fit (double dread) over who knows what.  Oh yeah, candy. Thanks Easter Buuny.

After Henry's nap, we headed to the Taylor's house (my friend Christy's parents who I've known forever... well, since I was 5 anyway). We had a fantastic Easter lunch.  I loved catching up with dear friends and watching our kids play together.  The Easter Bunny was there too and the kids had a great egg hunt.  (FYI... that bag of goodies is history. Trash can city. The result of meltdown number two of the day. It was a big one. Why did I throw away perfectly good chocolate???  My waist will thank me I guess).

We got home in time for Henry to take a big nap and Aubrey to not take one. Cause of meltdown number two?  Certainly.  We spent the rest of the day hanging out outside with our neighbors.  Whew.  Feeling very tired, and little under the weather, but very blessed.

Happy Easter. He is risen indeed.
