A crazy, FUN weekend...

Our renters moved out about a week ago, so we needed to go check on our house in Ft. Worth, retrieve keys, and return deposits. Sniff, sniff. They were amazing tenants, and in a way, we're sad to see them go. Sad because we are now paying the mortgage, taxes, utilities, yard service (which we never had when we lived there...grrrr) on top of our rent and utilities here. Happy because the lease is up and we can sell, sell, sell it. If only we could sell it. We are still waiting for the magic buyer to come along so we can move out of this rental. It's starting to feel like a overstuffed shoe box, crammed full of wonderful things, but crammed none the less. The hardest part is that it isn't ours. If it was, we could do things to make it more comfortable. Anyway, we are thankful we have somewhere to live, so I won't whine too much.

Rather than Brian going up alone and leaving us for the weekend, we decided to make a family trip of it and visit our friends, the Burkes, at their new house in Corinth, TX. Anna and I grew up together, so it's so fun to see our kids play together now. Their house is amazing and they were so gracious! Aubrey had a bit of a meltdown on Friday night, but otherwise, we had a great time just relaxing and catching up. Thanks Anna and Sam!

On our way back to Austin, we stopped in Ft. Worth so I could see our old house (Brian had gone the day prior to take care of the business). Wow, it looked great. Just like we left it, or maybe even better! Another sniff, sniff. Too bad we can't transplant it here. Not because it's THE house for us, but because we do in fact own it!!!

Catherine, Henry, Samuel and Aubrey. They played so well together!
