It's hard to see much in these photos. Just look for the tallest one with the pink glasses, of course. It really is fun to see Aubrey enjoy dance. Since we moved, she started taking dance at a studio close to the house. It just so happens to be the same place I took dance as a child. Her teacher was there when I took! So fun. They are having a "recital" in May, so I will definitely have my camera for that one.

Parent's day at dance
A couple of weeks ago, Aubrey had parent's day at dance, which would have been a good thing for me to remember. I showed up with no camera, and with Henry. Siblings weren't allowed since they might "distract" the kids. I'm pretty sure they were plenty distracted on their own considering they're 3 or 4 yrs old. Oh well. I did have my phone, so I was able to capture a few photos from behind the viewing window while all the other parents sat inside. Bad mommy.

Virginia comes to Texas
Some of our best friends from when we lived in VA came to visit this weekend. We got to meet their son Oliver for the first time and he was just the sweetest, happiest baby! Aubrey was soooo gentle with him and was quite the little mother's helper. Even Henry was really intrigued and played well with him, with only one tackling incident. We loved catching up, watching the kids interact, and enjoyed some excellent food and wine. Thanks Mary Beth and Tyler for making the trip. We miss you already.

Aubrey even smiled when Oliver got a fist full of hair.

Lunch at Phil's Ice House.

Oliver and Tyler

Brian was really happy, I promise

Dinner at the Salt Lick. The kids had a great time playing while we waited for our table.

Mary Beth and little Miss A

Ok, so Henry fell in LOVE with Mary Beth (which was really sweet). He wouldn't let me hold him most of the weekend and definitely gave me the cold shoulder. Now I know how Brian feels when Henry only wants me. Ugh, hits you right through the heart. All was back to normal at bedtime tonight when he yelled MAMMMAMMMMAAAA.

We turned Oliver into a Texas boy pretty quickly

Easter Weekend Recap
We started off our weekend with Easter chapel and some egg hunts at preschool on Thursday, enjoyed another egg hunt with the neighbors that afternoon, raked more leaves, pulled more weeds, finished fencing the yard, went on a few bike rides, and capped off the weekend with a joyous Easter service and yummy brunch. Whew. I think I'll just let the photos do the talking...

Preschool hunt. The kids decorated egg cartons and then collected their eggs in them so everyone got 12. . Genius. No fighting
Henry's first egg hunt. He wasn't really sure what to do.
He just wanted to slide.
After a nice nap, the kids get ready for hunt #2.

On Sat, we went for a bike ride and happened upon a garage sale. Henry scored this huge Tomy train set for $.50. Brian says it may be the best 50 cents he's ever spent. Henry was in love.

Our neighbors loaned us this cool tag-along bike and Aubrey has been having a blast riding like a big girl.

Henry says "wait for me."
